Training Update – Week 47

The hours racked up a bit this week, though I missed a bike workout on Tues because of work related issues. It’s hard to juggle the early morning meetings in South Lake Union when navigating the unknowable traffic flows from Union Hill and Avondale.

Rough day on Sunday. It was supposed to be a 3 hour ride. Though it says 2:50, the moving time was more like 2:20. I overheated on the hard Grand Ridge climb (overheating when the ambient air temp is in the low 40s takes effort), and things went downhill from there. I ended up bonking.

The running this week wasn’t terrible, but still “feels” slow compared to how things felt last year. It’s going to take time to build the legs back up to race pace.
